Description

eanneau Sun Odyssey 40 from 2001, a cruising sailboat renowned for its excellent seaworthiness, onboard comfort, and versatility. This boat features a three-cabin, two-head layout, offering a spacious and pleasant living area, ideal for sailing with family or friends.
The boat is equipped with a teak cockpit, an electric windlass with 10 mm chain, and a 16 kg Delta anchor. The draft is 1.70 m, allowing easy access to a wide range of anchorages while maintaining good sailing performance.
The engine has 850 hours and has been meticulously maintained, with a full service completed in 2026. During this refit, the heat exchangers were replaced, along with the cutless bearing, stuffing box, and all through-hulls and seacocks. The batteries are new (2026), and the hot water tank was replaced in 2025. Antifouling and bottom service were also carried out in 2026.
The boat is equipped with a bow thruster, autopilot, and depth sounder. There is currently no GPS onboard.
Regarding the sails, the mainsail is recent (2024) and in very good condition. The genoa requires servicing. The standing rigging was inspected three years ago, with several components replaced, providing additional reassurance for safe sailing.
This Sun Odyssey 40 is a well-maintained and reliable boat, ready to sail. Only the life raft requires servicing, as well as the genoa, to bring everything fully up to date.
