The Hallberg-Rassy 36 is widely regarded as one of the true classics of offshore cruising. Built by the renowned Swedish shipyard Hallberg-Rassy, this centre cockpit yacht is celebrated for her exceptional build quality, robust construction and impressive seakeeping abilities. All maintenance work, upgrades and equipment installations are fully documented with invoices. The current owner has always paid particular attention to the vessel's reliability and overall condition, ensuring that she remains in excellent operational order.
Measuring 10.87 metres in length with a beam of 3.55 metres and a draft of 1.70 metres, this Hallberg-Rassy offers an ideal balance of comfort, safety and performance. Her signature centre cockpit provides a secure and well-protected sailing environment. All sail handling is led back to the cockpit and can be managed comfortably from beneath the sprayhood. A Sunbrella bimini provides additional protection and comfort for the crew both underway and at anchor.
The Burmese teak deck and coachroof are in very good condition, with no broken teak planks. The rig has been carefully maintained and recently benefited from a comprehensive inspection. The furling mast was removed and fully checked, the masthead and boom sheaves were replaced, all halyards were renewed, and a new VHF antenna was installed.
The sail inventory is particularly attractive and includes a brand-new 37 m² Vortex tri-radial genoa, which performs exceptionally well in stronger winds and can be used as a staysail when conditions require. Two in-mast furling mainsails are available on board, complemented by a 90 m² asymmetric spinnaker complete with snuffer, providing a versatile and efficient sail plan for a wide range of conditions.
Deck equipment includes a completely renewed primary anchoring system fitted in 2026, featuring a new 25 kg Delta anchor and 60 metres of new 8 mm galvanised chain. A secondary anchoring system comprising a flat anchor with chain and a FOB Light anchor is also carried on board for more demanding anchoring situations.
Power is provided by a reliable Volvo Penta MD22A 57 HP four-cylinder diesel engine with approximately 3,000 operating hours. Renowned for its durability, this engine has been professionally serviced every year. The timing belt is up to date, the exhaust elbow has been replaced, and the engine runs faultlessly. The yacht is fitted with a three-blade Max-Prop feathering propeller and benefits from two alternators rated at 115 A and 65 A, ensuring excellent onboard power management. Fuel consumption averages approximately 3.2 litres per hour, providing impressive cruising range.
The electrical system includes five 108 Ah batteries, one dedicated to engine starting, together with a 12V/220V inverter. Comfort on board is enhanced by a diesel-fired Webasto heating system, hot water heater, cockpit shower, 120-litre refrigerator, oven and gas cooker supplied by two gas bottles stored in a dedicated locker.
Navigation electronics are comprehensive and include a radar, chartplotter, VHF radio, SSB radio and a recent autopilot. All navigation and working lights are fully operational, including masthead lights, steaming light, navigation lights, engine light and deck searchlight.
The yacht is sold with a complete offshore safety package, including a six-person liferaft mounted in a hard container on the stern rail, life jackets, fire extinguishers, rigging bolt cutters and all essential equipment required for offshore passages.
A recent 2.30-metre tender is included in the sale together with a fully serviced Malta two-stroke outboard engine. A gas barbecue is also supplied.
The interior is particularly impressive for a yacht of this age. Protected for many years with custom carpeting, the beautiful mahogany joinery remains exceptionally well preserved and reflects the outstanding craftsmanship for which Hallberg-Rassy is renowned. The yacht carries 350 litres of fresh water and 350 litres of diesel fuel, providing excellent autonomy for long-distance cruising and extended voyages.
A temporary mooring solution is currently available in Porquerolles. From April through September, the yacht may be kept on a mooring buoy in the outer harbour. From October through March, she can occupy a visitor berth with access to shore power and fresh water. 2026 rates are available upon request.
