The Bavaria 35 Match belongs to the "Course- Croisière" family.
The characteristics of this type of boat are as follows:
Larger sail area - Deeper keel - Better quality and more complete fittings
Thinner, lower and therefore lighter hull - Large cockpit designed for efficient (and very comfortable!) maneuvering.
Comfort virtually equivalent to that of cruising boats.
Performance far superior to that of a conventional cruising boat. The gains are most noticeable in light airs and upwind conditions. With 10 knots of wind, the Bavaria 35 match sails at 6 knots at less than 40° from the wind, compared with 4 knots at more than 45° from the wind for a conventional boat.
